On Thursday 3 April, Pallas Capital proudly hosted the Private CRE Debt & Lending Symposium at the distinguished Commonwealth Club in Canberra, one of the city’s oldest and most esteemed private social clubs.
The event brought together over 50 consultants, advisers and private clients, fostering opportunities to strengthen existing relatiosnhips and cultivate new connections within the ACT region.
Guests enjoyed an exclusive wine and cheese tasting experience, curated by renowned sommelier Jonathan McDonald, with thoughtfully selected pairings woven throughout the evening’s presentations. The speaker lineup offered a dynamic mix of Pallas Capital expertise and industry insights.
The evening began with a welcome address from Barrie Webb, Partner – Distribution, who set the stage for the discussions ahead. Patrick Keenan, Executive Chairman, then provided an overview of the Pallas Capital journey to date, outlining the firm’s rapid growth, strategic positioning, and long-term vision. This was followed by an in-depth analysis of the current property market by Sameer Chopra, Head of Research at CBRE, who delivered a well-informed and thought-provoking market update. Concluding the presentations was Alexis Holloway, Head of Credit at Pallas Capital, who shared expert insight into credit risk management and the rigorous processes that underpin our lending approach.
The evening marked a meaningful step in expanding Pallas Capital’s presence in Canberra and reaffirmed our commitment to building enduring relationships with advisers, consultants, and private clients in the region.
